The 72 DPI Mobile Metadata Problem
Smartphones and consumer editing apps encode images at default screen densities (72 DPI or 96 DPI). Even if you resize the photo to 213 × 213 pixels, the file’s internal APP0 metadata marker still reads 72 DPI. The PAN validation script inspects this exact binary byte before allowing the upload.
